Zoo Sept 27, 2009

We all had a great time at the Zoo today! We saw lots of anmimals! The Ostrich Eggs were really awesome! Andy really wanted to see the Giraffes so we took that loop at the zoo. We go to talk to a zoo keeper about the Giraffes. She said that the youngest one they have is just about a Year old. She also talked about the gestation period for the giraffe is 15 months! They plan to breed the giraffes when the femail reaches about 4 years old. They also have a feed the Giraffes place but we missed it.. doh... plan to try to hit that up in the future.
The other thing we thought was really intresting was the Lioness was very larger compaired to the Lion! The penguin exibit is awesome, however they were being lazy and relazing on the shore today :) I took a break and enjoyed some good people watching while Hans Andy and Chantel enjoyed the Day and Night Exibit! Where they saw a bat with HUGE wings!!!! I got to see a crow still some little kidds snack from a parked stroller, and then hear the parents complain that it happened AGAIN! hahaha Andy likes getting an ice cream cone at the Zoo, it was nice that Chantel was able to help him enjoy it! Hans asked me to take the last picture of him.. you can see how much weight he is dropping.
We had a great time! We dropped Chantel off at home visite with my mom and Shelece for a minute. then we went to the library and got 24 kids books! We got some good reading time in store for the week! hehehe Now we are home, cleaning and Andy is enjoying his new game on his computer!!
